Dense fog crept over the rolling hills of Colorado. Thick vines dangled from every tree, the range of flowers adding a playful element to the otherwise emerald forest floor. Sabrecrest was sacred land, home to the Kanuna; an indigenous tribe gifted with the ability to shapeshift. Call it folklore, but that tribe happened to be my ancestors. I was living proof that primal magic existed, a form of magic that came from the force of life.
